Phenomenology

In embodied inquiry there is a relationship that exists between language and our bodies' experiences allowing us to connect to the experience on a deeper level. The "lived body" and "lived experience" directly relates to personal phenomenology, meaning our knowledge is derived from our life experiences.

"Embodiment is seen as an insightful and multidimensional means of linking body, movement, and force as embodied rhythms of how it is possible to present, to live, to experience, to express and to understand individuals" (Boydell, 2011, p. 14).
